Topple The Truck School Supply Drive
In 1998, Mr. Stuart, Operator of Chick-fil-A Southaven, launched a meaningful initiative that would support teachers and students in DeSoto County for years to come—the Topple the Truck School Supply Drive. What began as a simple idea to collect school supplies has since grown into a cherished community tradition that brings businesses and residents together for one common goal: to support education.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, this beloved event had to be paused. But in 2025, Topple the Truck returned—stronger than ever—with an incredible show of unity and generosity.
This year, Chick-fil-A Southaven invited its sister locations—Chick-fil-A Olive Branch, Getwell, and Horn Lake—to join the effort. Together, with the help of the community, we collected a massive haul of school supplies to benefit DeSoto County Schools. From backpacks and notebooks to pens, markers, and more, the outpouring of donations was both inspiring and humbling.
In addition to the supplies, a generous check for $3,200 was presented to support the teachers of DeSoto County Schools, who give so much of themselves each year to help students succeed.
A special thank-you goes to DeSoto County Schools for bringing out a school bus to help promote the drive—an impactful and visual reminder of who we’re supporting and why this cause matters.
Topple the Truck is more than just a supply drive. It’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the power of local businesses coming together to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped revive this important tradition. Here’s to many more years of toppling trucks and lifting up our educators.
